Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field and 8+ years of Engineering Operations or related work experience.
Associate's degree and 10+ years of Engineering Operations or related work experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of Engineering Operations or related work experience.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Oversee Daily Operations:
Monitor and manage day-to-day operations to ensure timely task completion.
Develop and streamline operational systems and processes aligned with company objectives.
Collaborate Across Functions:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (including Finance, Engineering, and Program Management) to forecast and set budgets for programs.
Address overall people-related demands, including employee engagement activities.
Budget Management:
Manage operational and headcount budgets effectively.
Perform resource planning at various level between multiple organizations that are interrelated in the development of many concurrent device development, implementation and testing that are happening across multiple sites within Qualcomm
Ensure adherence to stipulated budgets across departments to maintain organizational profitability
Resource analysis across multiple projects and across multiple functional domains to address the active roadmap changes and come up with accurate forecast of the resource requirements, gaps and surplus analysis
Logistics and Government Relations:
Lead logistics teams handling site operations, import/export, and interactions with government organizations.
Foster strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely raw material deliveries.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with business leaders, third-party vendors, and functional teams to operationalize overall strategy.
Operate with minimal supervision while executing plans.
Data-Driven Approach:
Given the complexity of site operations, the candidate must be data-savvy.
Drive business intelligence processes for overall hardware operations.
Manage the analytics group that is responsible for collecting vital data from execution which can span from people to machines and process and come up with inferences that are important to the management to do a course correction to bring a lot more efficiency into the system
Team Leadership:
Experience managing large teams within a matrix-based organization is advantageous.
Safeguard and enhance operational efficiency to facilitate accelerated development and long-term success.
Requirements and skills
Overall 15+ years of relevant industry experience
In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. Engineering operations, Head count planning, Employee Engagement, Logistics etc.)
Data analysis and performance/operation metrics
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Outstanding communication and people skills
