Manager Laboratory Testingdriving research, development and implementation of new test methodologies and equipment independently and end-to-end. You will support the testing standards definition and execute and evaluate physical material, component and finished good tests including translating the results into recommendations for material, component and product development. This role works cross - divisional for multiple business units.


Key Responsibilities:

Research/Engineering/Standards

  • Drive research, development and implementation of new test methodologies and equipment independently and end-to-end
  • Continuously improve existing testing methodologies and equipment
  • Identify and forster cooperation with industry-leading external partners (e.g. universities, businesses)
  • Stay connected to relevant current and upcoming research and industry trends
  • Stay connected to other teams vertical and horizontal organizations
  • Support the horizontal lab team in defining standards for new test methodologies and equipment

Laboratory Testing

  • Execute all kinds of physical material, component and finished good tests within the given timelines and according to the latest testing standards
  • Evaluate, interpret, track and analyze test results and write scientific reports, summaries and presentations and put lab results into perspective relative to concept and perception findings.
  • Translate test results into recommendations for material, component and product development
  • Communicate test results through comprehensive presentations or other means to respective counterparts
  • Ensure proper data management in the respective systems in time and accurate format
  • Review, discuss and decide on exceptional releases when standards are not met

Sample Management

  • Unpack, prepare and ship product samples for testing purposes
  • Organize short- and long-term storage of product samples according to policy

Device Management

  • Support device purchasing process
  • Maintain Testing facilities and devises

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of testing standards and processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-year College/University degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive working experience in laboratory or manufacturing
