Responsibilities: - Develop networking solutions for SaaS/PaaS applications that reside in private cloud, public cloud or both.
- Design and implement network architecture for our cloud-based systems, including virtual private networks (VPNs), subnets, routing tables, and security groups.
- Understand the ‘big picture’ to develop solutions that will integrate smoothly, provide high availability, and follow standards and security policy.
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
- Ensure the network infrastructure is optimized for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze network performance and availability, and proactively address any issues.
- Work with application engineering, devops, operations and clients to identify connectivity requirements. Understand end to end network traffic flows.
- Develop and document new standards for network deployments.
- Work independently, plan your work, lead networking discussions with other teams, vendors and clients.
- Provide leadership and coaching for deployment teams and network operations.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CCIE, etc) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking technologies and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.
- Knowledge of network security practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work optimally with multi-functional teams.
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
