Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with Variable Cost Productivity team globally to support cost out projects by developing X-ray tube & Generator components (metal & plastic) from Suppliers (

    in country or elsewhere
    ) ensuring compliance with safety standards & project requirements and execute part qualification activities.

  • Responsible for working with engineering teams to generate requirements for Verification & validation activities for product assembly, processing, and testing.

  • Support manufacturability actions in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs. Contribute to process capability assessment, process layout, tooling /equipment development and QMS Design Transfer execution.

  • Ensure QMS compliance through Qualification & Validation. Responsible for ensuring rigor in determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptance.

  • Monitor productivity using Lean Six Sigma or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are timely and cost-conscious and met with quality.

  • Working along with cross-functional teams to implement quality actions.

  • Carries out Engineering design change activities, if needed, by working in close coordination with SDEs (Senior Design Engineers), Architects, Principal Engineers and cross functional teams of operations, quality, regulatory and service.

  • Supports regulatory audit readiness (CFDA, GQC, UL, CSA audit, RoHS compliance, MDR transition, etc)

  • Supports quality and regulatory audits (internal & External) as needed.

  • Involve in mfg. standup as needed. Support Factory initiative (i.e., scrap, inventory reduction, Lean event)

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors in mechanical engineering with 3+ years relevant industrial experience.

  • Expertise in SPM (Special Purpose Machine)/ Machine design and development, component development and supplier interaction, should costing.

  • Proficiency in Mechanical engineering software and tools (e.g., ProE, Ansys, CFD tools, mold flow)

  • Proficiency in reading Engineering drawing and GD&T.

  • Knowledge of Tubes and High Voltage generators, and associated systems desirable
