Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate would work on high-profile client pitches and deals spanning all industry sectors, interact directly with clients and credit rating agencies, and take on an exceptional level of responsibility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advise clients on how to achieve their desired credit rating goals in the context of their contemplated transactions, and wider corporate objectives
  • Apply credit rating methodologies of the three major credit rating agencies (S&P, Moody’s, Fitch) to asses a company’s credit rating
  • Understand the implications of various corporate actions (e.g. M&A and capital markets transactions) on a company’s financial profile and reflect the same in a financial model
  • Present analysis of expected credit rating impact of a contemplated transaction to Citi’s credit committees
  • Collect and analyse company financial information, conduct industry research, perform benchmarking with peer groups
  • Prepare presentation materials for client discussion to support the analysis
  • Liaise with credit rating agencies, as well as with banking teams across industry, coverage and products
  • Advise clients on border corporate finance topics such capital structure, funding strategy, cost of capital, shareholder returns and distributions, capital allocation, and liquidity management
  • Help train and develop junior members of the team

Knowledge/Experience

  • Ideally 3 years of experience in a credit analysis or advisory role
  • Fluent English is a prerequisite (other languages would be an advantage but not essential)

Skills

  • High calibre written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong comfort with numerical/modelling/analytical tasks
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight timelines
  • Planning and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently under general instructions
  • Ability to manage junior staff
  • Graduate degree preferred
