As Data Governance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on data governance strategies and best practices. You will leverage your expertise to help organizations establish robust data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, data quality, and effective data management. You will work closely with client stakeholders to assess their current data governance maturity and develop tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements focused on data governance, including assessments, strategy development, and implementation support.
- Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to define data standards, policies, and procedures, to align with each client’s objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying and resolving data issues.
- Conduct data maturity assessments and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in clients' data governance practices.
- Develop and present comprehensive reports and recommendations to client leadership on data governance initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to provide clients with insights and guidance on compliance requirements.
- Assist clients in establishing data stewardship roles and responsibilities within their organizations.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients in implementing data governance tools and technologies.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience in Data and technology-related projects as a Data Governance/Management/Strategy consultant.
- Fluency in Greek and English languages, both in speaking and writing.
- Proven experience in leading data governance initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building client relationships.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Certification in data governance/management (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) is a plus.
- Knowledge and/or experience in data governance tools like Informatica, Microsoft Purview, Collibra and others will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of data architecture and data modelling concepts.
- Previous experience working in a consulting environment is highly desirable.
