As Senior Software Engineer II, you'll design, build, and deploy scalable, reliable, user-friendly solutions on our infrastructure. You'll collaborate with teams across Akamai to gather requirements, architect solutions, implement features, and perform unit testing. You'll also stay updated on emerging technologies and integrating them to enhance innovation and efficiency.

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Creating new features, or enhance existing functionality, from design through testing and deployment
• Working in an agile sprint environment to deliver quality software on a regular and consistent basis
• Measuring, maintaining and optimizing distributed system performance and performing bug fixes of existing applications
• Mentoring Junior Software Engineer on technology aspects
• Working in diverse nature of programming languages as needed

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Have demonstrated experience in developing full stack applications in Python/Golang and Angular/bootstrap/ReactJS
• Have exposure to Container technologies like Dockers and Kubernetes
• Have experience with Django, Celery, Redis, MongoDB, Postgres, Grafana/InfluxDB, Flask, Apache spark, Jenkins, Selenium, Appium etc.
• Have experience using GIT for version control; knowledge about internet technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS etc.
• Be passionate about solving large scale, secure distributed systems problems using Data Structures and complex Algorithms
