The Regional Safety Manager will oversee the development and implementation of safety programs for the projects in the assigned Region. Must be able to possess the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This involves conducting inspections and investigating incidents. A key aspect is promoting a safety-first culture within the organization.

Performing regular site inspections to assess safety conditions and identify areas for improvement.

You will establish working relationships and provide guidance on all matters relating to Health & Safety for those projects in your area of responsibility.

You will utilize your extensive knowledge and leadership skills by providing interpretation, technical review and support, regulatory guidance and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the project HSS&E Safety Security and Environment requirements to our client.

You’ll assist the Project Management Team (PMT) in review and provide guidance on all matters relating to HSS&E by Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

The Region II Safety Manager will possess the following professional certifications and technical requirements:

  • Must possess an OSHA 30-Hour certification issued within the last 5-years.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of OSHA’s 1926 & 1910, Subpart Standards.
  • Must possess a 4-hour Supported Scaffold User Card issued within the last 4-years.
  • Possess a working knowledge of NYC DOB Chapter 33.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the FDNY’s Chapter 14 safety requirements.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Ability to review andrecommendcomments for submitted Health and Safety Plans (HASP) by contractors.
  • Possess the ability to use computer applications.
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.
