Your impact

This purpose of this role is to strategically position Jacobs for the successful appointment and delivery of water resources projects and programmes, and to support delivery of these by providing project leadership, strategic oversight and project delivery guidance. You will work with the wider Water Resources team to build a reputation across ANZ as an industry leader both as an individual, and also as a resilient team. This will be achieved through supporting the development of our team in providing technically defensible, and innovative water resources services to clients. Further to this, you will propagate a culture that values and supports solutions through sponsoring/engaging in Communities of Practice, and being globally visible and engaged. You will be recognised for identifying solutions for clients that generate significant value, and will lead peer reviews of work completed by others. Significant client engagement will be required, devoting efforts to activities which will provide visibility of project opportunities, and assist and advise Jacobs to strategically secure key projects and programmes within the market. You will lead and mentor staff within the project environment, contribute to business and sales planning activities, and assist and advise on growth opportunities and innovation. You will be required to write proposals for, win and lead both complex and smaller water resources projects, as well as work collaboratively with other disciplines on projects lead by other disciplines.

Here's what you'll need

Key requirements include:

Degree in a relevant discipline.

• Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with key clients across ANZ and Globally

• Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships, lead business development activities and win work.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a range of complex water resources projects .

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively to provide specialist scientific support to other technical disciplines within Jacobs

• Lead engagement with clients, stakeholders and regulators to support technical delivery

• Liaison with Jacobs teams in ANZ and globally

• Coaching and mentoring of junior team members to assist in building a high performing team

• Presenting information to stakeholders in meetings in a concise and effective manner.

• Authoring complex assessments / reports

• Undertaking quality assurance processes, including undertaking technical review of project deliverables.

• Managing projects so that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality.

• Discussing business and organisational shortcomings, in relation to the management of water resources

• Analysing and evaluating current systems and structures in the management of water resources

• Developing objectives, strategies and plans aimed at achieving the efficient use of organisations’ resources to meet their customers’ expectations in the area of water resource management

• Developing solutions to organisational challenges associated with the management of water resources
