What to Expect

The Test Systems Engineering Software Integration team is seeking an engineer to develop and execute test cases, bring up and maintain Hardware in the Loop (HIL) testers, and validate new features and functions for our Dyno Platform. In this role, you will apply software skills to integrate hardware and software by working cross-functionally with internal and external teams. You will have the opportunity to work on various parts of the system and wear multiple hats, from designing system architecture to test automation and debugging/commissioning systems in the field.

What You’ll Do
  • Research, develop, create, and execute feature requests or effective solutions end-to-end (hardware/software)
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues with hardware and software/firmware during system bring-up, performance, and safety tests
  • Develop and validate Python code and embedded firmware in C, C++
  • Lead software/system integration efforts for all test platforms
  • Lead development/integration efforts for our in-house and off-the-shelf bi-directional power supplies
  • Serve as a technical consultant for feature requests from cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to our internal software tool repositories
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of high voltage power electronic systems, electric motors, and low voltage systems (dynamometers experience is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of test automation and data analysis in Python
  • Familiarity with embedded systems/firmware in C/C++
  • Motivation to work hands-on in solving problems efficiently to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with a multitude of laboratory test equipment, including sensors, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and other instrumentation
  • Familiarity with communication interfaces such as CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Modbus, SCPI, Automotive Ethernet, EtherCAT, etc
