Your mission is to ensure the overall quality of our cutting-edge SoC silicon. Your responsibilities include assessing SoC quality using real-world hardware/bare-metal workloads, rigorously stress-testing the SoC, measuring power consumption and performance metrics, investigating reliability issues, developing automation scripts, and analyzing data from test runs. If you thrive on technical challenges and innovation, join our team and contribute to the successful commercialization of our advanced, high-performance SoC solutions for next-generation mobile devices. Additionally, you’ll drive technical excellence, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment across the wider team.

Responsibilities:

  • Validation Responsibilities:

  • Perform Pre-Si and Post-Si Power, thermal & performance correlation, debug, and analysis at system level across various SoC IPs

  • Execute regression and PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature) testing across different parts, lots, and wafers; analyze the data and extract key metrics

  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and verification engineers to define and execute comprehensive validation plans

  • Debug low-level software and hardware issues, utilizing various debug tools like JTAG and kernel debuggers

  • Conduct Vmin/Fmax measurements and collect data for performance characterization

  • Automate validation flows, data collection, and analysis using Python. Writing scripts in Python for data parsing, plotting, and analysis

  • Develop and maintain software tools for automated testing and validation

  • Technical Leadership:

  • Drive technical excellence by setting high standards for validation methodologies, processes, and tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, designers, and software engineers, to influence product power/performance and improve validation strategies.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring our validation practices remain cutting-edge

  • Mentorship and Guidance:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally

  • Foster a collaborative learning environment, learning and sharing best practices and knowledge across the wider team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with post-silicon enabling, bring-up, and SoC Power measurement and data analysis.

  • Knowledge in the SoC system architecture, ARM CPU architecture, AHB/AXI bus protocols, chipset Power architecture, and high-level SW architecture in segments like mobile, automotive, or compute

  • Knowledge in VLSI Design, Test Methodologies and DFT/DFD concepts

  • Debugging low level software and hardware issues

  • Excellent programming and scripting skills in preferred languages (C & Python)

  • Ability to use lab equipment for testing and validation, including logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.

  • Debug tools including JTAG and kernel debuggers like Lauterbach Trace32 debug platform
