Responsibilities:

  • The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a business including ownership of the P&L, Strategy, Execution and People management
  • This is an end-end responsibility covering Product, Sales, Tech and Ops functions
  • The end-end management will be through a combination of direct and matrix reports running the above functions
  • Sets the vision for the product in the context of the broader business strategy
  • Develop, implement and execute business strategy to support our organic and inorganic growth targets
  • Drive revenue growth through market share capture
  • Develop product differentiation value propositions and sales narrative
  • Develop a Market and CSM interface to jointly identify areas of focus and develop product capabilities to capture incremental market share
  • Work with partners across Global and Regional product teams and Coverage to distill and focus on key levers for growth of the franchise
  • Lead ideation and facilitate execution
  • Build the product brand by developing senior client contacts and presence at industry events to drive conversation on innovation and client partnerships
  • Increase market visibility through active Industry Conference attendance
  • Host a successful Client Conference with increased attendance and higher satisfaction scores
  • Serve as Senior on client relationships and deals
  • For strategically important projects, ensure all work stream are on track by removing obstacles, make strategic decisions and drive to successful seamless transition
  • Serve as Senior on key external partnerships and key vendors
  • Partner with and take a leadership role as a member of the TTS senior leadership team
  • Partner with and take an active role as a member of the Global Product team
  • Ensure on-going and consistent transfer of expertise
  • Share best practices across regions and geographies
  • Indirect, but active management of Operations & Technology to ensure product delivery within standards and re-engineer existing products to gain scale and efficiency in conjunction with market expansion
  • Ensure the products adhere to all control and compliance requirements, not limited to Product Approval Programs and satisfactory ARRs
  • Maintain a pristine control environment
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years' managerial experience

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated leader who has proven ability to inspire & lead teams and partner & collaborate effectively to manage through change and drive growth. This role will involve leading the India’s Payments and Liquidity product business in alignment with Citi’s global strategy, India-specific market needs and ensuring alignment with the cluster TTS priorities to sustain innovation and growth of payment fees and liquidity drivers, across L2 and L2+L4 revenues. This role is also responsible for day-to-day management of Payments and Balance sheet management delivery, capabilities, client experience and risk management. Additional responsibilities include support of the technology development efforts including completeness of requirements. This role is a senior lead and contact for Citi's key clients. The incumbent will be responsible for taking a leadership role in the partnership with Sales and FX (Markets), in driving the pipeline, wins, ramp-up and pricing. They will have a key role on the TTS India Leadership team. The successful candidate will drive growth, enhance client experience, and ensure risk management, while fostering strong internal and external partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing, and executing India Payments & liquidity priorities and plans that are aligned with global strategy and cluster priorities. Drive identification of growth opportunities, drive growth and wallet share capture in partnership with Sales.

• Day-to-day management of the TTS Payments & liquidity business including ownership of the P&L, strategy, execution, efficient resource allocation and talent recruitment, as well as development.

• Execute and lead Balance Sheet management, Deposits & Investments, & Liquidity Product Management.

• Responsibility for client experience and resolving issues working with cluster and global partners and feeding back into product / Services wide strategic programs.

• Ensure deep understanding of market and competitive landscape as a key input into strategy and investments.

• Developing the investment case ensuring alignment with strategic objectives across Payments and Liquidity network – across client solutions for revenue growth & innovation, operational efficiency, risk reduction, client experience and getting to target state.

• Develops a strong client -centric orientation through consistent and high-quality client engagement with key clients.

• Drive network evolution and simplification of product footprint

• Enhance Citi’s value proposition by promoting cutting-edge solutions and delivering a superior client experience.

• Build and lead a high-performing Payments team, ensuring talent recruitment, development, and retention.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ownership within the team.

Risk Management & Governance

• Ensuring focus on Risk, documentation and Compliance, including Product Approval Programs, NAC and Sufficient Assurance Internal Audits.

• Ensure compliance with overall product management with appropriate controls including MCA completeness.

• Ensuring that the business governance framework is effective and complete, including escalation protocol to both business, cluster management, as well as the 2nd line of defense.

• Ensuring visibility and interface with key regulators from time to time.

• Focus on all 17 risk stripes with key focus on processing risk, ops resiliency, regulatory risk. Lead to deliver outcomes on ops risk reduction and elimination / risk reduction in manual / bespoke processes.

Key Stakeholders

• Partnering with and taking a leadership role as a member of the TTS India and TTS Asia South Cluster management team

• Partnering with and taking a leadership role with regional corporate treasury, and regional FX teams.

• Working closely with other relevant stakeholders including Banking, CCB, FX, (amongst others) and coordinating with the regional teams.

• Work closely with compliance, operations, treasury, finance, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution.

• Being a senior lead and contact for Citi's key clients in the region.

• The TTS India Payments & Liquidity Head is required to inform other parts of Citi about developments in the business, regulation, compliance issues or policy implementation. This is through communication in regular meetings and committees as outlined in the section on Committee and Regular meetings.
