The Senior Database Developer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of development of Oracle/Mongo database used in real time with high transactions and contributes to directional strategy of managing Oracle/Mongo database. Recognized technical authority for Database PL/SQL code development. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and external vendor partners. Provides advice and counsel related to the database application or operations of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Model and Build database solution (primarily Oracle) aimed at creating a Customer Data Hub to manage customer data details for individuals and organization
• Identify gaps on current database implementation/requirement by conducting detailed reviews
• Build SQLs to review data discrepancies and establish a framework of cleaning the data gaps
• The Senior Database Developer will support multiple projects, including build-out of Dimensional Models.
• The Senior Database Developer will be responsible for performing data analysis activities to capture data requirements clearly, completely, and correctly while, at the same time, representing them in a formal and visual way through data models.
• The Senior Database Developer will interface with a wide range of customers, ranging from Senior Level Executives to ETL/Java Services Developers.
• Will work through early stages of software lifecycle to profile data and to create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs with appropriate structure and relationships for optimal performance.
• Will work in a fast-paced environment that develops, implements, and maintains mission critical information systems to the -Business Intelligence community.
• Will ensure the long-term reliability, scalability and maintainability of systems.
• Accountable for providing architectural guidance to the team members based on best practices and in alignment with guidelines and platform.

• Work closely with other technology partners like architecture, infrastructure and application support team within the organization to ensure end to end integration is established as per approved enterprise architecture
• Create product roadmap and design platform engineering capabilities
• Propose and establish framework for necessary contributions from various departments
• Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope
• Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
• Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution
• Mentor, educate, and train colleagues as requested

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SQL development experience
• Seeking a self-motivated, technical, results-oriented, and quality-focused individual with strong database architecture skills.
• Sound experience in SQL performance tuning
• Provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of an enterprise data architecture that effectively supports Oracle database.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects concurrently.
• Experience with Oracle database.
• Exposure as well as knowledge on Teradata and Non-Relational Database like MongoDB will be preferred
• Experience with providing End User Query Support
• Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver.
• Ability to support long term goals along with immediate performance concerns.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate highly complex technical issues to non-technical audience.
• Ensure that significant design decisions are communicated, validated, and adhered to.
• Provide rationale for design decisions.
• Typically requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent
• Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level
• Proven history of generating innovative and effective solutions
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to explain complex technical topics in an easily digestible manner

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
