Conduct periodic assessments of compliance risk across Tesla’s lines of business and geographies and build programs to mitigate those risks
Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures
Develop and deliver on compliance training and communications plans
Conduct internal investigations, as needed, of potential violations of law or Tesla policy, and develop remediation plans based on investigative findings
Develop and maintain programs to mitigate third party compliance risks
Act as a trusted advisor to Tesla’s business and functional leaders across the globe on regulatory and compliance issues
What You’ll Bring
Admission to a US state bar
10+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 5 years of in-house experience in a corporate compliance program
Experience with compliance investigations, codes and policies, training and communications, risk assessments and mitigation, and third-party risk management
Thorough understanding of legal frameworks relevant to corporate compliance programs, such as the FCPA and international anti-corruption laws, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and DOJ guidance on evaluating corporate compliance programs, with the ability to explain to business leaders how these frameworks impact their business
Demonstrated ability to use data to drive compliance initiatives
Ability to work well both autonomously and collaboratively, and effectively manage and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships and build influence with Tesla’s business leaders across the globe
