As a glass substrate Dielectric Materials Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and optimizing dielectric materials used in advanced packaging substrate manufacturing processes. Your role will involve understanding the properties of dielectric materials, designing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of dielectric materials into heterogeneous packaging substrate.
Responsibilities:
- Research and Development: Conduct research to understand the properties and behavior of dielectric materials such as PID (Photo Imageable Dielectric), Thermal Curable Dielectric material for fine RDL such as sub-micron trace width and space and formation of interconnection via with diameter below 0.5um.
- Explore new dielectric materials and evaluate their potential for advanced packaging substrate applications.
- Materials Characterization: Perform materials characterization using techniques such as SEM, TEM, AFM, XPS, FTIR, and ellipsometry to analyze dielectric properties.
- Process Optimization: Work closely with process integration engineers to optimize dielectric material deposition processes.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations. Present findings to cross-functional teams and management and participate in technical discussions and reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 4-7 years experiencein the area of semiconductor dielectric materials or organic materials developed for similar applications
- Proven experience in semiconductor materials research and development, with a focus on dielectric materials preferred.
- Strong knowledge of packaging substrate or semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Familiarity with materials characterization techniques and analytical tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
