A Product Development Instrumentation Technician works full-time in VEV Instrumentation Lab. The Technician is responsible for performing vehicle, system or subsystem instrumentations and tests. The instrumentation process involves handling several types of transducers, cable routing and data logging equipment installation. The test process involves handling and building automated test devices, performing force controlled impacts for structural analysis. These tasks are performed using a high level of working knowledge in the fields of: electronics, automotive mechanics and automation. The candidate is responsible of assuring instrumentation and test quality during the whole process, maintaining continuous communication with Ford and non-Ford personnel.
