Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Manage a team of internal producers and outsource partners.
- Develop and mentor production personnel, and look for coaching opportunities.
- Work with the GM to find opportunities to hone organizational structure, processes, and tools.
- Develop and maintain successful relationships across the studio, Netflix, and with external partners.
- Lead by example, creating a strong sense of purpose and community, and promoting a culture of excellence and inclusivity, encouraging a sustainable work/life balance.
- Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions
- Deliver content updates on time and on budget.
- Create and maintain a track record of predictable and stable releases.
- Collaborate with discipline leads and external partners to find the balance between resources, schedule, and the right quality.
- Working with discipline leads to refining scope, schedules, and resource plans.
- Generate, update, and help maintain a shared library of process documentation and resources
- Manage the overall outsourcing budget and schedule. Look for thoughtful ways to manage costs.
Skills and Abilities
- Subject matter expert in the game development process.
- Deep experience in managing both internal and external development teams.
- Ability to quickly tease out process inefficiencies and problems.
- Track record of shaping production culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of the company, key stakeholders, and publishers.
- Capable of managing multiple competing tasks and being self-directed to meet deadlines in a quickly evolving environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong desire to iterate and improve on processes
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decision-making
- Self-motivated team player able to work in a team environment with maturity and leadership
- Highly organized with the ability to quickly identify and prioritize opportunities for optimal ROI
- Able to give detailed feedback and communicate direction between internal teams and external partners
Education and Experience
- 12+ years of experience working in a related role on high-quality games in the console, mobile or web space
- Served as the lead or senior producer on multiple projects
- Free to play experience
- Experience managing a live service
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Our core hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST, which means you should be available for meetings, etc., during this time frame.
