Responsibilities:

  • Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
  • Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes
  • Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
  • Incumbents in this role may often be referred to as Data Scientists
  • Specialization in marketing, risk, digital and AML fields possible
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • Previous related experience preferred
  • Have the ability to retrieve and manipulation data
  • Working experience in a quantitative field
  • Possess analytic ability and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment


Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work together with other areas of the Bank (Pricing, Modeling, Product, Segment, Risk, Behavioral Economics, etc.) to design and implement tests within GCB.
  • Through statistical techniques measure tests value to identify high impact opportunities and propose strategies that will prioritize business and customer growth translating into incremental revenues.
  • Summarize key findings and present to top management.
  • Structure, do and validate analysis from various sources/categories (demographic, financial, Credit Bureau, transactional, social media, etc.).
  • Develop testing tools, which will help us automatize the process to have a better focus on understanding customers and products dynamics.
  • Valuation and tracking of key initiatives.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Intern’s in actuarial science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related.
  • 1+ years of work/academic experience closely with in statistics, financial analysis.
  • English level: Intermediate

Skills/Competencies:

  • Very strong analytical skills and statistical techniques understanding
  • Ability to generate insights from numbers and translate them into actionable strategies
  • Skills and interest in programming and statistical analysis (experience with SAS, SQL, R or Python preferred)
  • Interest or experience in testing, sampling, predictive modeling or machine learning – preferred
  • Negotiation, leadership, and communication (storytelling and data visualization) skills
  • Document complex strategies and ML models for internal and external auditors.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge of consumer banking products - preferred
  • Self-organized, collaborative, proactive and creative
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to create synergies with other teams
