This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.Key job responsibilities
- Able to properly respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms
- Monitor the facility infrastructure platform
- Perform change management tasks
- Create and issue tickets
- Follow verbal and written directions
- Have an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure
- Proficient computer and communication skills
- Required shift-work, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24X7 environment (Rotating shift work equates to weekends, nights, holidays and overtime shifts)A day in the life
The Facility Operations Center (FOC) serves as the centralized 24/7 remote monitoring center for AWS data center’s critical physical facilities infrastructure systems.The FOC ensures safety across all AWS data centers by enforcing Change Management policies and is the communication hub during emergency and normal operations.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. - 3+ years of technical support experience, or Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI or above
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- 3+ years of customer service experience
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
