ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Respond to emergency incidents on campus to stop the emergency and mitigate risks to people, facilities and the environment as well as assume Incident Command (IC), if first on scene.

Ensure appropriate internal and external notifications are made in a timely manner during emergency incidents.

Write comprehensive emergency incidents reports.

Perform required inspection and maintenance of ERT equipment and supplies.

Develop and write administrative and/or response related procedures as required.

Develop policies, procedures, templates, standards and documentation in support of the deployment, management and sustainability of the ERT program.

Develop and conduct emergency response exercises and drills.

Ensure that all Emergency Management plans, activities, and operations are carried out in compliance with applicable local, state, federal regulations and laws.

Effectively coordinate and manage assigned ERT programs or projects.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have authorization to work in the USA (Required).

Successfully complete physical examination as specified by Applied Materials prior to any offer (Required).

High school diploma (Required) and BA/BS in Emergency Management, Business Resiliency Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field. (Preferred).

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in emergency response, emergency management, military, or public safety (Required).

Current 1st aid and CPR certification and demonstrated experience (Required) and Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) (Preferred).

Incident Command System (ICS) course 100 and 200 required and on the job ICS experience (Preferred).

Knowledge of Federal and State safety andregulations (Preferred).

Familiarity with Hazardous materials response Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) “levels of protection” (required). California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI) Hazmat Technician or Fire Department Firefighter I (Preferred).

Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment or equivalent high hazard environment (Preferred).

and training in chemistry, toxic gas systems and wastewater, also familiarity with chemical hazard classes for common gases and liquids (Preferred).

Experience conducting formal inspections, e.g., hazardous materials or safety equipment (Preferred)

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Required).

Adaptable, innovative and detail oriented. Ability to resolve issues, partner with others and drive solutions that create win-win situations.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to write technical documents.

Work schedule:

The weekly schedule rotates one week of three 12-hour shifts then the next week of three 12-hour shifts plus an 8-hour shift.
