In this role you'll need to be proficient in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software and fiber connectivity, all combined with a proven project delivery methodology. This position will work with minimum supervision to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand.Network Technicians are expected to work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling and constantly think proactively and innovatively.Key job responsibilities
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow- Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low to mid-level application interaction
- Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
- Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardwareA day in the life
A typical day involves:
- Maintaining the lab via automated health checks. You will identify why testbeds failed these checks and perform necessary triage.- Remote support of our off-site labs.
- You are encouraged to implement mechanisms and streamline processes to improve lab workflows.

Seattle, WA, USA
- AS/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Networking, or relevant IT field
- 1+ years of success in any two of the following IT roles (Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, Technical Project Management)
- 1+ years of success working with networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and their operating systems (Cisco IOS, JUNOS, Linux, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networking and the OSI model
- Previous experience with fiber optics and an understanding of different optical module types and form factors
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low to mid-level application interaction
- Strong understanding of major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, and Linux) and common networking protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Significant background in large scale datacenter network implementations and support.
- Scripting experience and the ability to streamline tedious tasks
