What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
- Perform automation platform design for hardware and firmware integration of next generation Tesla electric vehicle charging equipment (EVSE’s)
- Create and execute new hardware and firmware feature test plans through novel automation sequences and detailed post analyses
- Python test script development
- Embedded C firmware validation
- Identify, escalate, and resolve issues with hardware and firmware teams during system bring-up, performance, and safety tests
- Contribute to, develop our custom automated test infrastructure
- Lead automation architecture expansion discussions and establish deliverables
- Use dashboards and jenkins jobs to monitor and execute automation actions within the team’s test stations, as well as monitor said stations’ health
- Troubleshoot failures within automated test setups, and implement fixes quickly
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Excellent python development skills
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with python-based test automation development
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or software product development cycles
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills; able to identify and surface issues within complex HW/SW systems
- Effective communicator and excellent attention to detail
- Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability
- Proficient in Linux
- Preferred: Automation framework design experience
- Preferred: Embedded microprocessor design process: compilers, debuggers, and Git
