Program Management is an organizing framework that creates the capability to act on initiatives within an organization, ensuring quality progress toward delivery of strategic objectives. As a dynamic senior leader of the team, the Program Director will provide strategic direction and execution leadership to our most critical corporate initiatives. This highly visible and strategic role will collaborate with executives and internal partners to drive an enterprise approach to realize a broad set of objectives. Success will be measured through effective program development, execution, and delivery of program benefits. The Program Director is also expected to develop and deepen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Responsible for oversight and management of large-scale, enterprise-wide transformational programs in alignment with strategic objectives, defining tasks, responsibilities, timelines, and milestones.
  • Develop trusted relationships with executives, senior leaders, and key business partners.
  • Responsible for allocating and managing resources (financial, human, technological) based on strategic priorities and programs assigned to optimize their usage for efficiency.
  • Establish mechanisms to track and evaluate program performance against predefined KPIs, analyzing progress, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Performs periodic reviews to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with strategic initiatives, programs, projects under their oversight to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop business line level strategies to facilitate organizational change and ensure successful adoption of new processes, technologies, or policies.
  • Develop and execute business line level communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the execution process.
  • Foster collaboration and coordination between different departments and teams to ensure a unified approach to program execution.
  • Promote a culture of innovation among stakeholders and program partners to drive continuous improvement in strategies, processes, and customer experiences.
  • Focus on developing the skills and capabilities of the workforce to effectively execute strategic initiatives.
  • Stay attuned to changes in the external environment and is prepared to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure that all strategic execution activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the banking industry.
  • Delivers benefits that meet ROI hurdles, gaining funding approvals and influencing allocation of multi-million-dollar budgets.

Qualifications:Master’s degree in business or related field, leadership, business acumen, expert program and portfolio management skills, project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus, experience in strategic planning and continuous improvement, strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, Big 4 consulting experience a plus

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00 - $220,330.00
