Support the MENA Independence Team in managing and maintaining independence policies, procedures, and compliance across the region.
Lead complex assignments, including full-country compliance reviews and resolution of intricate business relationship issues.
Apply deep client service or infrastructure experience to address policy concerns, violations, and procedural challenges.
Provide coordinated advice and support in resolving high-complexity situations, consulting with Global Independence, IFAC center executives, and other relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate across service lines, sectors, and geographies to develop educational strategies and programs aimed at reducing policy violations.
Deliver impactful training sessions and presentations on new developments and their implications.
Offer technical guidance on independence tools and processes to ensure firm-wide understanding and adoption.
Respond to daily queries related to policy interpretation and independence matters.
Develop a strong understanding of regulatory independence requirements and firm policies.
Identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and stay informed on trends and lessons learned in independence and related areas.
Build and leverage relationships across the firm to proactively identify and address issues.
Exercise sound judgment and discretion in analyzing complex risks across industries and service lines, recommending solutions aligned with firm policies and regulations.
Gain broad knowledge of EY’s business operations and practices.
May lead team members in executing independence functions, including assigning tasks, reviewing performance, and verifying consultation-related information
Skills and Attributes for Success
Prior experience in Risk Management or Independence, preferably within a Big Four firm.
Candidates with a background in risk or audit will also be considered suitable.
