Responsibility:
- You will design and implement features for BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routing protocol and BGP/MPLS (Multiprotocol Label switching) IP (Internet Protocol) VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) service by working through all stages of software development lifecycle, including reviewing the product requirements, writing functional and design specifications, coding, testing and automation.
- Closely interact with customers and product managers to understand the challenges customers face and work with both the BGP team members and sometimes with engineers outside of the BGP team to come up with appropriate solutions.
- The individual should be capable of innovations which need to be implemented by multiple teams to come up with a cohesive solution to help the customers achieve their goals.
- Additional responsibilities include close interaction with the test teams as well as mentoring junior members of the team to help them come up to speed.
Required Skill:
- Strong programming skill in C/C++/Rust
- Expertise in complex algorithms and data-structures and ability to use different types of tools to debug and profile complex code.
- Education – BS/MS in CS or EE
- Yrs. of Experience – 5 – 9yrs
- Strong communication skill and the flexibility to work with a globally distributed team and customers
