What You Will Do

  • Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including usability studies, interviews, field observations, and data analysis.

  • Utilize internal logs and external data sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of critical issues.

  • Identify new opportunities through innovative research methods and co-design sessions to shape product roadmaps and strategy.

  • Synthesize and communicate research findings to influence product and business decisions.

  • Adapt and innovate research methodologies to align with product needs.

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure Uber’s products provide seamless experiences across various services, such as rides, food delivery, and couriers.

  • Build organizational knowledge to enhance the experiences of both users and employees worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Computer Science, Anthropology, Communications, Information Science, Sociology, UX Design, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of professional experience conducting user research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or Ph.D. in HCI, Psychology, Human Factors, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong command of research methodologies, data analysis, and statistical significance testing.

  • Proven ability to drive impactful research programs that influence product and design decisions.

  • Experience conducting research in diverse global markets.

  • Experience working with external research vendors, translators, and transcription services.

  • Ability to travel within Europe, India, and the United States as needed.
