The Qualcomm Cloud Computing team is developing hardware and software for Machine Learning solutions spanning the data center, edge, infrastructure, and automotive markets. We are seeking an ambitious, technically strong, and innovative engineer for the Cloud AI accelerator card validation team. Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early design to commercial deployment. The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interaction daily across multiple geographies, so good communication, planning and execution skills are a must—you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our AI accelerator products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Linux server based AI accelerator system set-up and debug. Configure and onboard a variety of Linux servers from multiple vendors. Knowledge and experience with BIOS, BMC, Linux kernel configuration, PCIe. Detailed knowledge of PCIe accelerator interaction with server hardware & software. Work with development teams to debug and Hardware/software resolve issues.

  • Hands-on server hardware and PCIe card debug and validation. PCIe, DDRx, LPDDRx, voltage regulators and low speed interface debug experience.

Desirable Skills and Aptitudes:

  • Knowledge of AI accelerators, CPU and test coverage assessment

  • Familiarity with Lab test equipment, eg. Power Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Protocol analyzers

  • RAS validation experience

  • Memory validation experience (LPDDRx, DDRx and HBM)

  • PCIe and other HSIO validation and debug

  • High level familiarity with Machine Learning. Knowledge of running on GPU or other accelerators

  • Performance analysis of Linux servers and AI accelerators.

  • Object Oriented Programming in python to support lab automation infrastructure.

  • Power circuits debug experience (voltage regulators and PMICs)

Pay range:

$92,000.00 - $138,000.00
