Quality / Process Engineer
The STET Quality & Process Engineer is responsible for verification / validation via the APQP-PSW process on supplier related projects. They ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and/or procedures for regulated products/processes. They will also mine CoNQ data (QN, Warranty, Scrap, Obso) to identify opportunities for improvements and then execute on those opportunities.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Independently produces and completes STET Quality / Process Engineering related activities (PSW processes and sustaining activities) and documentation without supervision.
Support and coordinate with multiple stakeholders in Philips as well as Supplier's representatives.
Lead, support / coordination of all assigned STET Supplier Gemba Ideation projects with Global Supplier Account Manager, Strategic Suppliers and Procurement Business Partners and Philips STET organization
Support on-site/off-site project supplier Gemba Productivity from Cost saving standpoint including Idea generation, Cost evaluation and execution support to add into Productivity funnel.
Supporting / coordination of all assigned STET projects with STET Program Mgr. / BG/BU SQE in a Transfer / NPI project environment from and APQP-PSW product realization execution standpoint to ensure PSW approval process is approved first time right / on time to MLD project timeline gate dates - support of STET Project Transfer / NPI project PN’s from a supplier DPPM KPI standpoint in post PSW approval environment
Performing requisite supplier technical assessment and quality system audits where needed in support of NPI / Transfer projects
You're the right fit if:
B.Tech/BE in an engineering discipline (ie; Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics Engineering)
Minimum 7-8 years’ experience in PCB/PCBA/Electrical component Supplier on site interface and execution of APQP-PPAP PSW process in a transfer / migration setting and / or New Product Introduction setting
Experience in following technical skills required – Cost Analysis, Procurement/Product Sourcing Skill, Lean Expertise, problem solving methodology, APQP-PPAP PSW
For cost Analysis working Understanding of the principle of cost modelling, ROI and TCO. Clean sheet analysis. It will be advantage if Expert in identifying cost driver, ROI and TCO.
Lean expertise on Identify and implementing Productivity ideas for Supplier location
Experience in Following Behavioral Skills Required- Dealing with Ambiguity, Conflict Resolution, Decision Making, Communication and Presentation Skill
Preferred Industry Experience: Automotive / Aerospace / Medical
Ability to work with others and build effective working relationships both internally and externally at various organizational levels.
Ability to travel to 30-40% to global supplier as well as Local Supplier Locations.
