The successful candidate will be responsible, but not limited to:

  • Drives and develops testability and manufacturability of digital integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp.
  • Contributes to design, development, and validation of testability circuits through evaluation, development, and debug of complex test methods.

  • Develops and debugs software programs to convert design validation flows and drive test equipment using automatic test equipment (ATE) for testing circuit performance.

  • Collaborates with designers to drive design for test (DFT) features enabling efficient production testing of new products and requirements for design validation to ensure performance to internal and industry specifications.

  • Works with the design and/or product development team to debug functionality and performance issues, perform circuit characterization, and design spec validation.

  • Utilize data to verify datasheet specifications and performs analysis to project yield concerns. Releases efficient production test solutions that ensure product quality and performance.

  • Engages with manufacturing to monitor and optimize production yield and resolves any post release concerns.

  • Reviews test plans with design, conversion of pre-silicon content to patterns, and additional content development as needed, reviews HVM data with design to identify and root cause the issues.

  • Focusing on testing memories, general purpose design & testability features and other digital testing solutions.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mecatronics Engineering or equivalent studies.

  • 1+ year of experience in an engineering position.

  • Intermediate to advanced English Level.

  • Must have permanent unrestricted right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ Years of experience in the following:

  • Background and knowledge in hardware architecture, digital circuit design and implementation.

  • Scripting languages such as python, C# and/or PERL.

  • Simulation and validation experience with hardware description languages such as Verilog and/or System Verilog.

  • Product engineering or test content development.

  • Evaluation and validation of DFT circuits including concepts such as timing and performance validation, memory testing, scan testing, fuse testing and/or test program development.

  • Knowledgeable in statistical data analysis using platforms such as JMP.

  • Silicon debug and characterization of new products including working with platform and system level validation teams to identify and close silicon issues.
