As a Control Management Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining, and delivering set goals for our firm. You will be responsible for ensuring that the line of business maintains a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment. You will identify and escalate issues with a sense of urgency and partner with the Business to ensure timely remediation of these issues. Your role will involve assisting in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the business’s risk and control environment, identifying significant gaps and weaknesses, and determining the root cause of control breaks.
- Ensure controls are properly designed and operating effectively, contributing to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
- Analyze program-related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) on an ongoing basis and develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies.
- Assist in developing Risk & Control Self-Assessment mapping and documentation through participation in end-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned business units.
- Report compliance metrics to GF&BM Management.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 8 years of experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance ; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business related function/operation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
