Description
Define new optical package special characteristics based on unique system level performance, cost, and footprint requirements. Conduct initial package layout and architecture scoping and sign off the final package design.Define and develop a MP assembly process. This includes, but not limited to, the initial proof of concept work, novel process, equipment and materials development work, FMEA, process control plan, IQC and OQC, failure analysis, yield analysis and enhancement work.Define packaging roadmap based on long term packaged product requirements. Initiate and manage the supplier’s pathfinding activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS with 5+ years of semiconductor packaging/assembly experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or similar disciplines.
- Prior optical packaging experience with LED, photodiode and optical component integrations and system interactions.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
