Design innovative vision sensors at the transistor-level as well as higher abstraction-levels
Improve efficiency of our design flow with development of modern practices and new tools
Take ownership and follow your innovations from idea to product prototype
Write code to model and simulate behavior of sensor circuit prototypes for dataset generation
Work on areas where sensors and algorithms meet with the support of our computer vision, AI and hardware experts
Coordinate developments within a multi-cultural work environment that spans engineering sites from Japan, Europe, and North America across the Sony Group organization
You bring:
MSc or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, … or surprise us with a background that we did not think of yet!
Experience in designing analog circuits, such as amplifiers, comparators, switch caps, etc.
Experience with common IC design EDA tools (Cadence, Mentor, etc.)
Interest in machine learning
Experience with Python programming or another language
Curiosity to actively learn and ask many questions
Confident communication skills and fluency in English
You can set yourself apart if you have:
Experience with modelling and simulation in Python, MATLAB, or similar
Basic proficiency with an ML library, e.g. Pytorch/Pytorch lightning, TensorFlow/Keras
Experience with relevant EDA scripting languages, such as OCEAN or SKILL
A track record of innovation through publications and/or patents
Experience in an R&D or startup environment
Experience with mixed signal circuits, such as ADCs and DACs
Basic knowledge of image sensor readout and pixel basics
