What you'll be doing:
You will design key aspects of our Tegra SoC Bootloader, with focus on enabling entire range of Tegra platforms to boot various operating systems. This team works on scalability and power to ground-breaking new applications to address the sophisticated engineering challenges.
The responsibility of the Bootloader team is to develop SW to enable the system - CPU and memory initialization and management SW, drivers(IO, storage, HW engines etc) for platform configuration, setting up security parameters and preparing the device by providing system formatting and flashing support. Boot security and performance are at the heart of all bootloader architecture designs in addition to maintaining forward and backward compatibility.
The major roles and responsibilities also includes collaborating with various engineering groups (software, hardware and architecture) to define system requirements, configurations and boot security. We need your helping hand to achieve the best performance, secured, safe following ISO26262 safety standard and productive bootloader on current and next generation NVIDIA TEGRA SoCs.
What we need to see:
B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent experience in Electronics/Computer Engineering with 5+ years of SW development experience.
We would like to see your programming, debugging and analytical skills and in-depth understanding of operating systems and processor ISA. Knowledge of Assemblers and binary formats such as ELF, DWARF and understanding of ABI would be very useful.
Prior experience in developing bootloader SW for any embedded, mobile or Automotive products would help you to standout.
Outstanding C programming and low-level driver experience; background and strength with complicated system-level debugging.
Prior knowledge in compiler development in area of instruction scheduling and/or tool development experience in Profiler, Debugger or Linker will be an added advantage.
Experienced with ARMv8 based processor architecture, and experience in board bring-up.
Self-learner and ready to work with an exceptional team.
Excellent proactive communication skill.
Professional and modular approach to complex technical challenges.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Proven experience in bootloader development, and bare metal programming.
Familiarity with developing Functional Safe software for automotive applications.
