Your key responsibilities

You’re likely to spend your time on a diverse array of projects, responsibilities and tasks, supporting client engagements by participating in day-to-day interactions with team members, providing a quality work product and driving delivery of services to meet deadlines. You’ll be working in a highly collaborative culture, where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is an essential part of the role.

  • Monitoring the status of accounts in ONESOURCE Trust Tax Software for the purpose of supporting the processing of information statements and returns for filing with tax authorities and mailing to individuals
  • Use of Excel, SharePoint and other tools to track the timely delivery of regulatory filings, payments, and performance standards set forth by the practice’s clients.
  • Compiling tax packages and mailing and tracking packages and providing e-filing support
  • Assist in archiving deliverables and other documents in structured document retention repository
  • Participate in internal and external training to learn and enhance knowledge of relevant software applications, including Excel, ONESOURCE Trust Tax, SharePoint and more.
  • Manage workflow effectively to comply with clients’ needs and expectations and complete special projects as needed
  • Communicate regularly and concisely with team lead / supervisor and all practice and company coworkers

Skills and attributes for success

  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to execute on established processes for meeting payment and filing deadlines, and on other performance standards set forth by the practice’s clients.
  • Participate in regular reviews of established processes for the purpose of improving efficiency.
  • Support managers, senior managers, managing directors and partners with reconciling returns, e-filing returns, tax payment submissions and reconciliations, and archiving all forms of proof of filing/payments.

To qualify for the role candidates must have

  • College degree or equivalent work experience in brokerage banking or accounting
  • Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of tax software applications, including ONESOURCE™ Trust Tax
  • Ability to learn company-specific systems and tax software applications
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with a team, assist with a variety of projects of varying degrees of complexity
  • Build effective relationships with our clients, understand their unique needs to provide tailored services. Manage workflow effectively to comply with clients’ needs and expectations and complete special projects
  • Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills

Ideally, candidates will also have

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to adapt your work style to work with both internal and client team members

  • Overtime will be expected during busy season

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $58,300 to $96,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $70,100 to $109,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
