Service Manager
Managed Services (MSE) is responsible for keeping the network running and proposing / conducting network upgrades based on business requirements. Covers technical managing and operating of agreed components of IT and telecommunications services provided to end users of Nokia customers, within contracts agreed with those customers.


HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
  • Manages the SLM related changes
  • Manages the ORCA process and represents technology operations.
  • Manages projects through the ORCA lifecycle/process.
  • Manage RAN SME review of design documents to assess the impact of network configuration changes as well as any additional capabilities required to support the network performance after the change in BAU;
  • Engages with relevant internal and external stakeholders / subject matter experts (RAN SME’ s) to capture, consolidate and provide baseline (business and technical) acceptance requirements to the project;
  • Ensures relevant RAN SME’s and MSP stakeholders are engaged and provide quality and timely input / feedback to acceptance criteria on each phase;.
  • Manage RAN SME review of implementation procedures and tools and liaises with project teams on technical issues if required;
  • Drives resolution of all acceptance exceptions/issues;
  • Ensures testing and implementation of network configuration changes in accordance with approved detailed designs;
  • Ensures the changes have met stability requirements prior to confirm full operational acceptance
  • Ensures projects deliver all operational requirements as identified and agreed in ORCA checklists during different phases of ORCA lifecycle.
  • Ensure reviews of handover documents are done by nominated SME’s as part of the ORCA process and non conformance/PKE/PBI raised where applicable;
  • Manages and maintains ORCA Risk & Issue registers for assigned projects against various ORCA milestones and escalates to the ORCA lead where appropriate.
  • Responsible to get stakeholder approvals as part of the various milestone signoff and requesting the ORCA lead for certificate signoff;
  • Provides weekly reports to the ORCA lead that shows the ORCA milestone status and updates ORCA dashboards/tools.
  • Provides input to internal stakeholders for SLA ratification for ORCA related issues.
  • Participates in ORCA and project meetings.
  • Follows up on all PKE’s/PBI’s that have been created pre/post project implementations that have not been resolved by the specific project.
  • Strict adherence to the ORCA process.
  • Produce ad hoc reporting relating to ORCA.Measure of Success
  • % of project milestones completed as per ORCA process
  • Number of projects completed
  • Identification of New business opportunities

Management experience / Achieved advanced skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organisational practices and precedents.

Typically requires 9+ years relevant experience and/or a graduate equivalent (or higher) degree.
