Responsibilities
  • Strategy development: Develop and implement a long-term strategy for our Payments (Money In) business, encompassing invoicing and payments.
  • Operational review: Review key performance metrics for thePaymentsbusiness, leveraging data analytics to unlock opportunities for improvement and growth
  • Uncover opportunity: Dive deep to uncover commercial opportunities to accelerate growth for the QB Payments business
  • Cross-functional leadership: Partner with various teams to evaluate and enhance our service offering, focusing on customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Project leadership: Spearhead internal projects to expand and refine our Payments capabilities.
  • Stakeholder communication: Serve as the conduit between the Payments business and other GBSG & Intuit businesses, ensuring alignment on priorities, progress, and challenges.
  • Team mentorship: Mentor and develop a high-performing cross-functional team, instilling a culture of analytic rigor across the Money In org
Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in strategy & business operations, management consulting, or strategic roles within high-growth environments. Experience with a leading fintech (e.g. PayPal, Stripe, Square), payments company (e.g. JPMC Payments) or a leading consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) with specialization in fintech is strongly desired. Payments / Merchant Services experience is a plus.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, build trust, and drive outcomes in a matrixed organization.
  • Strategic thinking: Strong capability to translate strategic plans into actionable tasks, ensuring project completion and alignment with business goals
  • Problem Solving: Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including data-driven decision making
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of payment systems and money movement (including credit cards) is a plus
  • Communication: Excellent presentation and storytelling abilities, comfortable with facilitating workshops and business reviews with executives and teams
  • SQL skills (i.e., ability to self-serve on data needs for ad hoc analyses) are a plus
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in a technical, math, or science discipline or equivalent relevant experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
