Program Overview

There are two tracks:

deals with statistical, econometric, and machine learning/AI models for a variety of applications, including loss and revenue forecasting, credit decisions, financial crimes, fair lending, operational risks, and analysis of unstructured data such as text and audio.

In this role, you will:

Perform mathematical model development and validation under the direction of experienced team members using Python, R, C++, SAS, SQL or other programming languages

Communicate solutions to stakeholders through verbal presentations and written documentation

Ideal candidate for this role:

  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and written, and explain technical material to a non-technical audience

  • For the Capital Markets Track: Experience anddemonstratedknowledge in mathematical and numerical methods including Monte Carlo methods, differential equations, linear algebra, applied probability, and statistics

  • For the Risk Analytics & Decision Science Track: Experience anddemonstratedfirst-hand knowledge in a number of these areas: data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning/AI models, data management, and computing

  • Energetic self--starter who proactively takes initiative, remains curious and has a genuine interest in learning and growth.

Program Dates:June - August,2025 (10 weeks, 40 hours per week)

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing aPhDdegree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 –or later

  • Currently pursuing a PhD degree inwith emphasis on Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Quantitative Finance, Operations Research, Data Science, Engineering or related quantitative field or a related quantitative field

  • Experience incomputer programing skills and use of statistical software packages such as Python, R, SAS, SQL, Spark, Java, and C++

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication

  • Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities through one or more of the following: volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), non-profitinvolvement

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
