Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Statistics, Operations Research, Machine Learning, Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
Research experience and publications in top conferences/journals in at least one of the following areas: statistics, machine learning, optimization, causal inference, systems, software engineering.
Broad and solid understanding of common statistical and machine learning techniques, both classical machine learning and deep learning.
Strong analytical, applied research, and communication skill.
Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative and lead engagements as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge on cloud service infrastructure and system design.
Experience with working on big data pipelines and cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
Conduct research to advance the state of the art in machine learning for systems. For instance, multi-constraint optimization, bin packing, time series and causal analysis.
Work with a small group of fellow research scientists and product engineering teams to execute practical solutions for real-world impact.
Driving the end-to-end research agenda from establishing the problem definition to building algorithms, tools, and models.
Publish and contribute to top scientific conferences and journals.
