Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the execution of all activities for managed scope area, i.e., the West Support Building and Boiler Chiller Plant (BCP).
- Ensure all external contractor(s) and design resources (Services During Construction - SDC) are delivering their scope of work in accordance with their contractual agreement, escalating to Execution Director where appropriate / required by contract terms.
- Accountable for managing the project budget, commitment, actual cost, and forecast detail with support from the Cost Reporting Lead.
- Responsible for ensuring direction provided by the Client has been documented and communicated to the appropriate external contractor(s) and incorporated into the project documents including issue management/tracking and ensuring alignment amongst project stakeholders.
- Responsible for overseeing permit coordination and municipal approvals in partnership with external contractor(s).
- Responsible for change control activities including scope and pricing coordination/review of proposed changes from external contractor(s) and SDC resources.
- Manage the schedule with support from the Schedule Integration Lead by providing updates to activities for the Integrated Project Schedule, identifying acceleration opportunities, and developing recovery plans to mitigate delays as required.
- Coordinate approvals of POs and CBS / WA packages from Execution Director (and Program Leaders as required) through Project Bank Meetings with an enhanced focus on understanding yet-to-commits.
- Responsible for earned value management including performing site-walks to inspect work-in-place (WIP) and coordinating the approval process of invoices for all external contractor(s) and SDC resources on scope area.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop mitigation plans for potential risks associated with construction activities.
- Regularly report on the project's progress, financial status, and potential risks to the Execution Director
- Support the Project Controls Team with integrating project data into the Project Control Tower.
The Ideal Candidate will have the Following:
- Experience in the semiconductor or similarly technically complex industry.
- Experience with wide range of facility types across the entire project lifecycle (Entitlement, Planning, Design and Build).
- Strong executive presence with an ability to communicate with and influence senior leaders.
- Experience with project controls, contract development, administration, and claims management.
- Experience selecting, developing, and managing design and construction-related service providers.
- Familiar with industry standard construction technology solutions (i.e., cost management systems, BIM 360, SmartSheet, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Procure, Plangrid, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, or a related field preferred.
Additional Desired Attributes or Beneficial Experience
- Knowledge of Permitting requirements, National Electrical Code, Uniform Building Code, and Fire Codes.
- Knowledge of Environmental & Safety regulations and requirements.
- Knowledge of building control systems and remote energy management systems.
- Knowledge of semiconductor facilities systems including but not limited to acid waste and exhaust, solvent waste and exhaust, chilled/condenser water, hot water, process chilled water & DI water, process gases, controls, and monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of Fire Life Safety and Gas Life Safety Systems and requirements.
