You will determine parts and tools needed by the team to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification, for both existing and new processes/product technologies. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Support daily production activities and drive producibility improvement projects in a challenging environment.Key Responsibilities:
• Provide test and manufacturing support for RLG (Ring Laser Gyroscope).
• Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health trends.
• Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis.
• Help RLG grow its capacity by reducing cycle time, incorporate new capital equipment, and improving yield.
• Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.
• Assist development of new products.
• Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.
• Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.
• Test products & softwareU.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Aeronautical engineering.
• 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Product or process engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Optics
• Knowledge of Automation
• Cleanroom experience
• Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects.
• Hands on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions.
• Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members.
• Quickly and accurately identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream).
• Conveying information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse teams.
