General Responsibilities:
As a Principal Project Manager you will:
Act as a thought leader to design, plan and implement strategies in support of the Retail Risk Chief of Staff team.
Lead cross-functional projects supporting defined priorities that you will define how the project supports; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed; manage complex up and downstream project impacts.
Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.
Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation.
Participate and sometimes lead regular meetings with the leadership team.
Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery.
Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes.
Qualities of a Successful Candidate:
Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work and manage ambiguity.
Demonstrate exceptional communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.
Display a proactive nature with a desire to take action and try new things. Highly organized, able to juggle multiple initiatives and prioritize work.
Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands, suggest shifts in priority based on experience.
Display excellent consulting and collaboration skills.
Continually wants to develop and learn new things.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 3 years of Project Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Masters degree
4+ years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Experience collaborating with senior leadership
Experience working on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts
