The System Reliability Analystwill get exposure to every line of the business and service as part of our SMBF Functions & Market Risk SRE Stability team. You will help deliver a world class client service and experience, by applying engineering, innovation, and risk management concepts across our systems, to ensure that our platforms and services operate for our clients, whenever they need them. You will interact with partnered global teams each day, collaborating to proactively prevent risk to the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Drive improvements by using logical analysis, the application of cause and effect, and the tenacity to ask probing questions to address and uncover process gaps.

• Assess business processes and system inefficiencies, identifying areas of gaps and recommend improvements in the form of automation, consolidation, or elimination.
• Understand different types of risk (reputational, financial, operational, legal) and how to implement various risk mitigation strategies
• Partner with key stakeholders to identify, assess, and implement measures, continuously monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of their risk strategies.
• Proficiency to study historical performance trends by using dashboards, data, charts, etc.
• Collaborate with technical, operational, and business partners.
• Participate in blameless postmortems to identify resilience and reliability improvements.
• Observe past behaviors and incidents to work in partnership to improve the MTTR (Mean time to Resolve/Respond).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5-8 years in Technology with experience (IT related operational support role preferred)
• Familiarity with Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Event Management, and Incident Management (ITSM).
• Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for opportunities to streamline, routinize, or automate.
• Strong analytic skills and attention to detail
• Highly proficient interpersonal & communication skills while working with diverse audiences including highly skilled IT professionals and Executive Leadership
• Understanding of the big picture and forward “out of the box” thinking
• Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion.
• Adopt quickly to new technologies and system architecture.
• ITIL Certification preferred but not required.
• Good blend of technical and soft skills.

• Bachelor’s/Universitydegree or equivalent experience
