General Summary:
Testing Qualcomm Sensing Hub features for Qualcomm products. Test planning, test case development and execution. This includes hands-on testing with various mobile/handheld products both in lab and in the field.
Verification and calibration of sensors in embedded HW.
Testing communication and information sharing between devices embedding Qualcomm Sensing Hub.
Test case automation and maintenance.
Triaging issues observed during testing and isolating them into different test framework components, SW modules in embedded target SW or HW itself. Driving the resolution of the observed issues across the sensor and other QCT technology and target teams.
Supporting test, SW development and system teams in analysis and debugging of observed issues in embedded targets.
Interacting in a global team environment with various test architecture, power, SW, system, test, and test framework teams.
Desire to understand in detail the Qualcomm Sensing Hub related SW and HW architectures and embedded SW designs from HLOS all the way down to sensor driver level across various target devices.
Skills/ExperienceA minimum of 2…4 years of work experience with testing embedded systems and developing automated test cases for them.
Detail oriented, thorough, and analytical approach required with excellent communication skills.
Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks is crucial.
Proven team player that can drive bugs into resolutions across multiple global teams.
Excellent understanding of debugging and isolating issues in embedded devices.
Basic understanding of different radios (like cellular modem, WiFi, Bluetooth, location), audio and camera features in mobile phone.
Familiar with oscilloscope and comfortable working with Qualcomm HW protolab to expose necessarily signals for testing and debugging purposes. Capable to validate and debug simple HW reworks exposing interrupt signals etc.
Good understanding of test methodology and test processes, including requirements collection, test plan development, test execution and error tracking.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with standard Qualcomm test automation framework and tools (Axiom, QXDM, QDSS, QMITestPro, Crashscope, Trace32) and Qualcomm DIAG implementation.
Previous exposure to Sensors (inertial, pressure, magnetic, ambient light, proximity, capacitive, physiological) and associated test equipment beneficial.
Previous testing experience with Linux Embedded, Linux Android and Windows mobile devices.
Basic understanding of modem, WiFi, BT, audio, camera and location technologies and related test procedures and equipment.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master's, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
