Your key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end lifecycle of SOC 1/2 and HITRUST audits.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure timely evidence collection and issue resolution
- Efficiently coordinate and lead a team
- Collecting and monitoring progress of auditor’s requests collection
- Coordinating internal pre-assessments in preparation for external audits and certifications
- Document and track corrective actions, assess risks, and monitor remediation progress
- Escalate project risks and blockers to leadership as needed.
- Monitors remediation activities in-scope for external audits
- Coordinates with managers and IT leadership on audit scheduling, evidence gathering, audit interviews and remediation
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience in responding to external audits in a global environment (SOC 1/2 and Hitrust)
- Working knowledge of SOC 2 Trust principles, Hitrust CSF and ISO 27000 frameworks
- Understanding of IT infrastructure components (e.g., networks, servers, cloud platforms) to effectively engage with technical stakeholders during audits
- Strong English language skills are required – written and verbal
- Good time management, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Fluency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to leverage AI tools and automation platforms to streamline audit preparation, evidence collection, and risk analysis.
- Familiarity with Excel macros and basic VBA scripting to support automation of audit tracking and reporting tasks is a plus
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Maintain awareness of the current security threat landscape and information security frameworks (ISO27001, SOC 1 and SOC 2)
- Thirst for knowledge and desire to develop your career
- Ability to team well with others to facilitate, schedule, and coordinate required audit activities
- ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementor certification is a plus
Ideally, you’ll also have
- One of the following or equivalent certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in related area, or other equivalent certification.
