Sourcing Procurement Managerlocated inDundalk, Ireland.
Reporting to theSourcing Procurement Managerwill be responsible for providing technical support and accountability to the procurement organisation to ensure continuity of supply, supplier development, supplier readiness and improvement activities in order to improve cost, delivery, response, service and quality.
What a typical day looks like:
Promote revenue generation through developing an in depth understanding of each segment specific business needs, translating those needs into tasks and developing differentiated solutions for the segment and customers
Forge relationships with the supply base that allow Anord Mardix ongoing visibility to the industry, the players, and information that will allow us to build a compelling Supply Chain Solution.
Ensure that all aspects of Supply Chain are included in the strategy (i.e., Logistics, New Business Development, Design, Supplier Quality Development and Commodity Management).
Drive positive impact on margin enhancement through differentiated component sourcing solutions
Develop effective relationships with senior individuals within the supply base, ensuring that Anord Mardix, wants, needs and requirements are clearly communicated and met
Understand customer qualification requirements for new products
Provide technical backup for alternate sourcing recommendations
Utilize GCM resources to advise designers of lower-cost material or assembly approaches, and sit it in on design reviews as required
Maintain a cost-effective infrastructure that supports the size and scale of the Segment Business
Develop pricing strategies for production, design, and benchmark quoting
Ensure a process for including the Segment business critical parts into the quarterly negotiation cycle
Utilize previous investments & activities for future requirements
Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes, systems and value engineering
Define, develop and make effective use of cost analysis tools
Help develop a quick RFQ process, based on Segment business knowledge and direct suppliers with accurate target pricing
Provide regular guidance on cost/price trends
Ensure lowest landed component costs are negotiated, captured, and implemented across segment businesses
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Typically requires minimum of 10 years experience in a lead Procurement role within a manufacturing business
Degree level qualification in a supply chain related field
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret the most complex documents
Proven experience in supplier relationship management
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Proven understanding of the workings of effective supply chain management in a manufacturing environment
Proven negotiation and contracting skills in a commercial business environment
Thorough understanding of complex supply contracts – capable of refining contract language and successfully working with legal support and supplier to attain needed compromise
Must be eligible to work in Ireland
Must be prepared to travel throughout EMEA occasionally
