What you will accomplish

• Be qualified to design entire solution independently for business challenges or products; can coach and guide development team members in implementations
• Work with other sr. tech members, product managers, architects and engineering teams to ensure the quality and efficiency of the product delivery.
• Define, design and enforce industrial best practices in combination with eBay’s environment in an innovative and scalable way.
• Be comfortable of communicating and presenting ideas to all levels of management, technical and non-technical audiences.
• Generate energy, and questions that drive ideation and design creativity, encourage questions and a higher level of thinking.

What you will bring

• BS, MS, or Ph. D. in CS, EE or equivalent.
• 6+ years’ working experience in software development with at least 2 years’ experience in big data or machine learning areas.
• Ambitious and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Gain a deep insights into software language such as Java or Python; web-development skills and middlewares like Springboot, database, caches; and Bigdata tech stack as Hadoop/Spark/Flink/Kafka
• Clean coding habits, attention to detail, focus on quality and best practice.
• Good oral and written communication in English.
• Experience on contributing to open source is a plus.
• Working Experience in a Multi-national Company is a plus.
