In this role, you will be responsible for interacting with cyber security related data to create and communicate insights powering reports and real-time dashboards that create situational awareness and facilitate data-driven decisions. As part of this, you may be tasked to work with various teams across Cyber Operations, Engineering, Product, and Architecture to optimize our data delivery and extraction across multiple data sources.
Responsibilities:
Leveraging a blend of cybersecurity and data science knowledge to identify patterns and relevant insights that drive decision-making at operational and strategic levels
Leading initiatives to incorporate Machine Learning into projects and BAU activities
Mentorship and coaching of other CDS team members
Exploring new technologies to continually improve our extraction, transformation, and load capabilities
Assessing existing technologies, processes, products, and services to determine automation opportunities
Creating, and enhancing, reports and dashboards (utilizing Tableau or Databricks) for various audiences that reflect the efficacy of people, processes, and technology within Cyber
Creating insights using new and existing technologies to provide situational awareness and contribute towards decision making processes across Cyber
Effectively communicating analytical insights sourcing from, and involving, Cyber Operations data to multiple audiences, recommending actions to improve our operational posture
Building relationships with stakeholders across Detection & Mitigation to create new/improved insights
About you:
An excellent communicator at various levels, able to develop and speak to code and analysis’, and translate methodology and findings to leadership
A team player that ensures they’re bringing their peers along with them and shares lessons learned
Proficient in Python and SQL, and displays an emphasis on continuous learning opportunities
Able to programmatically extract, transform, visualize, and analyze data from databases or S3
Comprehend how data flows and changes, and share this knowledge with customers and teammates
Regularly leveraging existing cyber security knowledge to create relevant insights that facilitate data-driven decisions
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 4 years of experience using database management tools
At least 4 years of experience using relational database systems
At least 4 years experience utilizing SQL
At least 3 years of experience scripting in Python
At least 3 years of experience creating visualizations with business intelligence tools (Tableau or PowerBI)
At least 1 year of experience working with APIs
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field
Professional Certification (Security+, Data+, Cyber Security Analyst+, or Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
5+ years of experience working business intelligence tools
1+ year of experience with Cloud services (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure)
1+ year of experience building Machine Learning frameworks
1+ year of experience utilizing Databricks
1+ year of experience with Snowflake or S3
1+ year of experience with Git
