JOB DESCRIPTION


-Establishing hardware/software safety requirements, considering the entire product lifecycle, from design and production to distribution and use, as well as codes, industry standards and applicable regulations.
-Completing safety assessments for development systems and provide recommendations to the system design and build/operational procedures to mitigate or eliminate safety issues and hazards
-Generating and maintaining safety documentation, including System Safety Program Plans (SSPP), System Safety Hazard Assessments (SSHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and reports of noncompliance
-Assisting in review of engineering designs, test plans, build procedures, operations, and maintenance for safety impacts and prepare reports as required.
-Performing audits of system operational procedures
-Leading the implementation of strategy and processes for designing in safety for new product and system development
-Participating in root cause corrective action and other quality assurance activities as required

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Citizen dueto contractual requirements.

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $121,000-$151,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $121,000-$151,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.


-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related field
-10 years’ experience completing safety plans, assessments, and audits
-U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance


-Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
-Degrees or Certifications related to Product/Infrastructure Design Safety
-Experience working with cryogenic systems, related technology and infrastructure
-Product knowledge in mechanical components such as pumps, heat exchanges, extreme temperature piping, valves, actuators, and solenoids
-Process knowledge in casting, machining, soldering, welding, and brazing of various metals for extreme temperature environments.
-Experience in facility/infrastructure design and construction. In particular for labs, process plants, oil refineries, or similar industrial sectors.
-Additive, Materials Sciences, Ceramics, Coatings, Metallurgy experience.
-Familiarity with the full product life cycle with a strong emphasis on manufacturability, maintainability, and reliability.
-Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
-Ability to adapt to change based on project needs
