Key job responsibilities
As a SDE III on the team, you will own the design, build, and maintenance of the platform supporting the joining experience for new Amazonians. A successful SDE III will have a broad array of experiences, exceptional design skills, strong technical judgement, an excellent ability to solve problems, good communication skills and a desire to be a key technical contributor. The software you write will impact Amazonians globally, and will require a breadth of technical development knowledge. Daily work will involve interacting with engineers, product managers, SDMs and stakeholders.A day in the life

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
