The role requires a motivated, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems while striving for operational excellence. The work follows a process-oriented approach: the individual needs a strong willingness to learn new processes and adapt to rapidly changing operational scenarios with conflicting priorities.
Key job responsibilities
- Assisting in the operation, and maintenance of all, mechanical, Electrical and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
- Develop work plan for emergency repair of critical assets.
- Troubleshooting of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems,
- Operate under minimal supervision.
- Create and close Work Orders with appropriate data, to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management system
- Maintain changes in state in Mission Critical infrastructure in support of corrective/ preventive maintenance
- Testing: Test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, processes
- Act as a front line responder for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, AHU’s, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFD’s, and building automation systems.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. - Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls
- Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)

- Experience in data center engineering
- Experience leading and managing operations of critical facilities which require in-depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control systems
